Jewellery Hard-Feelings first date.

Steering the conversation and being a distributor in the jewellery industry, for what, for who, what is the purpose and lesson.

Like every first date, it is important to have a little introduction. Who is the person behind JHF, and why did this platform come to life?

Ciao, and welcome to JHF, your platform, your community, your thoughts, your support, and your voice that can finally be heard and seen. I'm Emma, and I launched this platform for many reasons. But let's start from the beginning before being cheeky. On all first dates, you start with a little aperitif before jumping to the dessert.

Since I can remember, jewellery has been on my bingo card, watching very gen z coded shows and asking my grandmother in the South of France to show me her secret room, her jewellery box. I remember begging her every day, wearing her heels, pretending to be a model and adorning all her jewellery. Those moments are stuck in my head as they created a strong bond between us and made me love jewellery as much as I love her. Nonna, the famous Italian French grandmother, is strong, sensitive and couldn't say no to anything, a classic, kindness never disappoints, and her love for jewellery is kind of crazy. Unfortunately, she lost most of her collection due to a tragic thief. But her story has not been stolen, and when she talks about her collection, you can see the sparkle in her eyes; the jewellery meant so much to her and was so precious and sentimental. She rebuilt a small collection that I affectionate, particularly because I grew up wowing. You need to cherish and be lucky with what you have and have fun because you never know what can happen from one day to the next.

Anyway, the aperitif is done and well consumed. Now, let's start with the starter. It's still unknown, but it's getting warmer in the room.

I ended up going to a business school in London while still being completely obsessed with jewellery and begging my parents to receive jewellery for my birthday and Christmas; what a cheeky one. After three years of learning to succeed as an entrepreneur, I decided to look for my passion and future career; what a beautiful failure. Indeed, the starters are coming hot and cold. After being lost and confused, one of my friends told me out of the blue after my twenty-second birthday to follow my long-lasting passion, jewellery. Let's go, start, and put our little napkins on our laps. Amazing experience, I couldn't ask for a better start. The microscope, the diamonds, the coloured stones, the intensity, the pressure, the competition, the chill and the temperature continued to rise. Okay, let's cool down. The starter may be almost done.  I was in Alice Wonderland, so proud of being a gemologist and finally finding my career.

Let's get to the main, which is always tricky: you want to make a good impression on the first date.

My love, let me tell you, it was just the very beginning of my adventure; I was unstoppable, I tried every short course possible, from jewellery history to negotiation to jewellery design and so on, but I knew something was coming to me, and I couldn't tell what it was.

I followed my studies at Central Saint Martins, doing an MA in Applied Imagination. What an interesting name, right? Don't worry; you are not the only one. In this master's, I had the opportunity to conduct research on whatever area I wanted to explore, and guess what? Guys, how original I am… I chose jewellery…. I know, awesome.

The main is finished and was delicious—a bit spicy but worth it. Now, let's choose the dessert—the final touch on a date, a sweet little moment. My research, your research, my adventure, your adventure, my platform, your platform, my community, your community… Jewellery Hard-Feelings welcome, and thanks for being the cherry on top of my journey and the beginning of many powerful and intriguing experiences and possibilities for us.

I decided to create and launch this platform because I saw a gap in the market, I was always so impressed by my jewellery designers, gem dealers, gemologists and so on, but I really didn't see their processes, the real deal backstage, not the polish one that so many companies want to show you, its not honky dory every day and why not show it. I heard so many times that I was superficial because I love jewellery or from so many people who only saw the economic value, but why not shift this to a more authentic way, revealing the rawness of talents through cultural memory and storytelling and just creating a community that I hope will make your heart beat and want to take JHF to the next step on the first date, the last but never last drink.

Jewellery that are very precious from me out of my Collection that I brought in London.
